Why Choose Stansbury Dental for Teeth Whitening?
- Spa Dent, Phillips Zoom, and Other Top Brands Available
- Choose Between In-Office Whitening & Take-Home Whitening
- Reduced Risk of Oral Sensitivity Following Treatment
Causes of Tooth Discoloration
Your teeth can become discolored for a number of reasons, and before we recommend any teeth whitening treatment, we’ll want to discover the underlying cause of your dental stains. Some of the most common causes of dental discoloration include:
- Consuming dark foods or drinks
- Aging and tooth wear that reveals yellow dentin below the enamel
- Overconsumption of fluoride as teeth develop can lead to fluorosis stains
- Tetracycline medications can stain teeth if taken during dental development
What is Spa Dent?
Spa Dent is a unique, professional teeth whitening system. It uses a combination of carbamide peroxide and hydrogen peroxide xyliprox to create a neutral PH balance. That means the dental sensitivity often experienced following treatment is not a problem. The Spa Dent system offers both an in-office treatment as well as a customizable take-home kit.
How Does Spa Dent Work?
Spa Dent has two in-office treatment options. For a quick touch up or small boost during any teeth cleaning appointment, we can use the Boost Brightening system. Boost Brightening takes just ten minutes, and patients can brighten teeth as much as four shades. The Flex Whitening system offers more advanced results by improving enamel by up to ten shades in just 20 to 40 minutes. Both Boost Brightening and Flex Whitening utilize low heat LED lights to accelerate the process. Whichever option you choose, the system delivers brighter smiles without dental sensitivity.
Want to whiten your smile more gradually while you sit and relax at home? We can help you do exactly that with one of our custom-made take-home kits. They consist of a set of mouth trays that are specially designed to fit over a patient's teeth as well as a powerful bleaching gel that is much stronger than anything you’ll find on store shelves. A patient simply needs to wear the trays with the gel daily for about two weeks to get complete results, though most see a difference after just one use!
Phillips Zoom! Teeth Whitening
You may have heard of Zoom! Whitening being used in dental offices around the country, but now you can get the same results right at home! For your take-home Zoom! treatment, we’ll give you a set of mouth trays and gel like we touched on above, and you’ll simply need to use them together for a set amount of time each day to break up stubborn stains. You can use it when you’re surfing the web or binging your favorite show! Either way, it can deliver a dramatically whiter smile you’ll be able to enjoy for a long time to come.
Opalescence Whitening Kits
What makes Opalescence special is that its bleaching gel also contains fluoride and potassium nitrate in addition to carbamide peroxide (the ingredient that actually whitens the teeth). This means it actually helps strengthen the enamel while it whitens, helping to prevent sensitivity. This is a better option if you already have sensitive teeth or have experienced sensitivity due to whitening in the past.
